We are on the lookout for a new blog manager for our Arsenal fan site. The right candidate must be hard-working, have some-journalism related experience and will ideally be a passionate Arsenal fan.
This is a paid Freelance opportunity with pay being performance-based.
Commitment
The ideal candidate would be able to commit 8-10 hours a week which would equate to roughly three articles a day (two of which will be shorter quick-fire news pieces whilst the other a bit longer and more in-depth). Writing engaging articles and reporting on Arsenal will make up 80% of this role with the other 20% managing the site’s Social Media network.
The site runs on the latest version of the popular CMS, WordPress. Knowledge of this and other minor technical aspects of blogging isn’t necessary but would be helpful.
Overall, main duties would include:
- Updating the site three times daily with the latest Arsenal news and opinion pieces
- Writing engaging news and opinion articles to be published infront of 1000’s of Arsenal fans
- Managing the site’s Facebook page
- Managing inquiries related to people wishing to contribute to the blog
- Interacting with the site’s regular fan base in the comments section
